About Us

Safety, Honesty, Complete Cleanup

Red Wood Tree Service LLC is a local tree service based in Knoxville, Tennessee. We take down the trees other people would rather not touch — the dead one leaning at the house, the big one three feet off the siding, the one nobody can reach with a truck — and we do it with climbers, rigging and a grapple truck instead of hope.

We are fully insured, and on tree work that matters more than it does almost anywhere else. If something goes wrong sixty feet up next to your roof, you want the crew carrying the liability, not you. Ask and we will show you the certificate.

The consultation is free and it is in person, because nobody can price a tree over the phone honestly. You get a straight answer on whether the tree is actually a hazard, whether pruning would fix it, and exactly what it costs. Then we clean up completely — brush chipped, wood hauled off, yard raked. Juan answers the phone himself.

Why Homeowners Pick Us

What Makes the Difference

An honest call on the tree

If pruning will save it we prune it and tell you so, even though removal is the bigger ticket. If it is hollow or dead, we cut it open and let you see the wood yourself.

Insured before anyone climbs

Tree work goes wrong high up and close to the house. That is exactly why the insurance matters here more than in most trades, and why we will hand you the certificate without being pushed.

The right iron for the job

Climbing gear and rigging, bucket truck reach, a chipper for the brush and a grapple truck for the trunk. Nobody is improvising with a ladder and a homeowner saw.

Complete cleanup, every job

We walk the property with you before we call it finished. If there is a rut, a missed pile or a rope mark, it gets fixed then — not next week.

Questions

Frequently Asked

How much does it cost to remove a tree in Knoxville?
It depends on the height, the species, how close it is to the house or the power line, and whether it can be reached with a truck or has to be climbed and rigged. A small backyard tree and an eighty-foot oak leaning over a roof are not the same job. That is why the consultation is free and in person — we look at the actual tree instead of guessing over the phone.
Do you charge to come look at the tree?
No. The consultation is free and we come to you. Call and we will set a time.
Are you insured?
Yes, fully insured. On tree work that matters more than on almost any other trade — if something goes wrong next to your house, the liability should be ours and not yours. Ask and we will show you the certificate.
Do you handle storm damage and emergencies?
Yes. Trees on roofs, trees across driveways and split limbs hanging over the yard are the calls we move things around for. Call the phone instead of sending the form if a tree is on your house right now.
Do you clean up and haul the wood away?
Yes, and it is included unless you tell us otherwise. Brush goes through the chipper, logs go out on the truck, and the yard gets raked and blown. Some people want the rounds left for firewood — just say so and we will stack them.
Can you get a tree out of a tight backyard?
Usually, yes. That is what climbing and rigging are for: the tree comes down in pieces we lower on ropes instead of dropping. Tight access between a house and a fence is normal work for us, not a reason to say no.
Will you top my tree?
Not if it is healthy. Topping a live tree starves it and creates weak regrowth that fails in the next storm. We will do a proper crown reduction instead, and if the tree really is past saving we will tell you that straight.
How far do you travel from Knoxville?
About 45 miles out, which covers Farragut, Powell, Halls, Corryton, Lenoir City, Maryville, Alcoa and everything in between. If you are not sure whether you are in range, call and ask.
Will grinding the stump tear up my yard or my sprinkler lines?
We ask about irrigation, cable, gas and invisible fence before the grinder starts, and we work around what you tell us. The grinder throws chips, so we tarp what needs tarping and rake it out when we are done.
