Tree removal is most of what we do, and it is where experience actually shows. A tree three feet off your siding does not get dropped — it gets climbed, cut in sections and lowered on ropes, piece by piece, until there is nothing left to fall. Our grapple truck loads the trunk out and the brush goes through the chipper on site. When we pull out, the wood is gone and the ground is raked.
Dead, leaning, split and hollow trees taken down in controlled sections. If it is over your roof, your driveway or the neighbor's fence, that is exactly the job we plan around.
When a bucket truck cannot reach it, our climber ties in and takes the tree from the top down. That is how a big tree comes out of a tight backyard without touching anything.
Close quarters work is normal for us. Every piece has a planned landing spot before a saw starts, and the rope decides where it goes — not gravity.
Storm Damage Cleanup
East Tennessee storms take out the trees that were already weak, and they almost never fall somewhere convenient. A limb across the driveway, a split trunk hanging over the roof, a dead pine that finally let go — that work is not really tree work yet, it is damage control. We take the weight off the structure first, in pieces, before anything shifts. Then we clear the rest and haul it away.
The tree comes off the roof in controlled pieces so the load lifts evenly instead of all at once. Getting that wrong turns a repairable roof into a rebuild.
If a tree has you shut in, that is the first cut. You should be able to get a car out and an ambulance in.
The widow-makers left up in the canopy after a storm are the ones that hurt somebody a week later. Those come down before we call the job finished.
Tree Trimming & Pruning
Most of the trees we get called to remove could have been saved with pruning five years earlier. Trimming is not decoration — it is what keeps a mature tree structurally sound. We take out the deadwood, clear the limbs off your roof and gutters, and thin the crown so a storm blows through it instead of against it. What we do not do is top a healthy tree; that kills it slowly and no honest outfit will tell you otherwise.
Dead branches do not heal, they just wait. Pulling them out is the cheapest tree work there is and it prevents most of the calls we get after a storm.
Limbs on shingles hold moisture and drop leaves in the gutters year round. We cut back to a proper collar so the tree heals instead of rotting at the cut.
Opening the canopy lets wind pass through instead of catching it like a sail. It is the difference between a tree that survives a storm and one that comes down in it.
Stump Grinding
A removal is not really finished while the stump is still sitting there. Left alone it sprouts, it attracts termites and carpenter ants right next to your house, and it is in the way of everything you wanted to do with that spot. We grind it out below grade, rake the chips back into the hole or haul them off, and leave you ground you can actually use.
A stump shaved flush still sprouts and still rots. We take it down far enough that you can put sod or a new plant over it.
The runners that crack your sidewalk and catch the mower deck come out with the stump when you want them gone.
Irrigation, cable, gas and invisible fence all live where a grinder wants to be. We ask what is buried before the wheel turns.
Brush Removal
Brush does not take over a property in a season. It takes years, and by the time somebody calls us the vines are into the roof line and nobody has seen the back fence in a decade. This is the work with the most obvious before and after we do: we cut it back to the property line, run everything through the chipper, and hand you back a yard you can actually walk through.
Ivy and honeysuckle pull moisture into siding and lift shingles. Getting them off the structure is the first cut we make.
Overgrown boundaries cut back so you can see, mow and maintain them again — and so you know where your line actually is.
Sheds, barns, well heads and HVAC units buried in growth. We clear the working space back around them.
Land Clearing
Clearing land is a different job from taking down a tree in a front yard, and it takes different iron. We run a forestry mulcher through the underbrush, take the timber down, and grind what does not go out on the truck. Whether you are putting a house on it, running cattle on it, or just want to see the back of your own property again, you get ground that is ready for the next trade instead of a lot full of stumps and piles.
Cleared, mulched and raked out so the excavator can start on prepared ground instead of fighting root balls.
Not every job means taking everything. We can pull the junk growth and the dead timber and leave the hardwood you actually want.
A cut line through the woods wide enough for a truck to get back there, graded and clear.
